Now that the data collection for the 2020 census is mostly complete, it’s time to talk about what’s next! This panel of depository librarians from the Colorado Government Publications Interest Group (GoPIG) will tackle some of the big questions like - When and how will the 2020 data be released? How will it be used by local, state, or the federal government? What tools can librarians use to access the data? How can we best support our patrons with census data? And how can you use demographic data from the census to connect with your community and advocate for your library.

Learning outcomes:
  1. Attendees will walk away with a deeper understanding of the life-cycle of decennial census data
  2. Attendees will be able to use free resources to locate, explore, and interpret data from the U.S. Census Bureau
